Yesterday, the Oakland Police Department welcomed its new Police Chief after Larry Gaines was sworn in by City Court Judge Mark McDaniel.
Chief Gaines brings to his new position over 25 years of service with the Oakland Police Department, where he also served as a Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and even Assistant Police Chief.
The Department stated, “We are excited to see him in this leadership role and for the future of the Oakland Police Department.”
