SpaceXAI stated in a press release that it will be removing all of its 69 temporary turbines at its Southaven data center as early as August and by July 2027.
The company also said it will be investing millions of dollars in sound walls, silencers, and next-gen turbines with advanced quieting technologies, via its partnerships with neighboring businesses.
SpaceXAI has stated, “We care deeply about being good neighbors, and we regularly reconfigure power operations to reduce noise from the facility and minimize our impact on the local Southaven community.”
The final power plant will consist of 41 gas turbines, which were approved for construction back in March.
