Following a jury trial on charges of child exploitation, a former teacher and pastor from Olive Branch, Mississippi, was sentenced.
The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office stated on Thursday that Kyle Michael Hilleary had been sentenced to 35 years in prison, including five years of probation and 25 years to serve day-to-day without the possibility of parole.
He was also ordered to pay $1,000 to the Victims of Human Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation Fund and $1,000 to the Mississippi Children’s Trust Fund, and must register as a sex offender.
Hilleary was a teacher at Cross Creek Christian School and a pastor at Cedar View Baptist Church. He was dismissed from both positions at the time of his arrest in November 2023.
