The Blue Monkey in Midtown Memphis is set to close after nearly three decades of business, with the final day of operation being June 19.
“We would like to thank our loyal customers for your support throughout the years,” the bar’s social media said. “We’d also like to thank our managers and employees, past and present, for delivering a quality product and friendly service, as well as the many talented musicians who have shared their music with us and helped make The Blue Monkey a special place.”
Fortunately for longtime patrons, the Blue Monkey’s Downtown location on 513 S Front Street will remain open despite the Midtown location’s closure.
