Investigators reported that while delivering food, a Memphis DoorDash driver stole three pieces of artwork from a condominium in Downtown Memphis.
Authorities were informed by the condominium association president that he had observed three paintings removed from the lobby wall. The condo administrator claimed to have seen a DoorDash delivery driver remove the artwork and take it after watching security footage from the previous day.
The total worth of the three paintings was $1,050.
After reviewing security footage, investigators were able to identify the car that was used for the delivery. They traced the vehicle’s Tennessee license plate to 31-year-old Austin Herman.
Herman has been charged with theft of property valued between $1,000 and $2,500.
