A Memphis man was found guilty by a jury of stabbing his wife to death in front of their two-year-old daughter almost five years ago.
Robert Washington received a life sentence.
According to police, Washington broke into the victim’s Jefferson Avenue residence in October 2021 and fatally stabbed her. She was later identified as Trenecia Brown.
Police reported that they discovered a blood-covered, unconscious woman on a loveseat in the living area when they arrived.
It is still unclear what caused the argument.
