West TN Drug Task Force agents in Haywood County Tuesday pulled over a suspicious tractor-trailer that was shipping “cargo” from Compton, California to Knoxville, Tennessee.
Said “cargo” was discovered by Canine Pongo, who found a secret compartment in the tractor-trailer containing 16lbs of Fentanyl and a large bottle of horse tranquilizer, which is commonly mixed and sold with Fentanyl or abused on its own as well.
While the wholesale value of the drugs recovered is about $80,000, the “street value” can be as high as $500,000.
