Today at 10AM, the Tunnel To Towers Foundation will be opening its new Memphis Veterans Village at 7060 Riverdale Bend Road.
The organization helped to transform a former hotel into 110 units of permanent supportive housing for veterans, with on-site services including:
- Job training and employment assistance
- VA benefits navigation
- Education assistance
- Financial counseling
- Legal advocacy
- Mental health and PTSD counseling
- Addiction recovery services
This latest opening is part of Tunnel To Towers’ efforts to combat veteran homelessness, as they have helped to provide housing assistance to more than 20,000 veterans across the country.
TN Governor Bill Lee and Shelby County Commissioner Amber Mills are expected to be in attendance for the opening ceremony today.
