The Memphis Metal Museum officially began making its transition to its new location in Overton Park, as Friday July 31st marked the last day visitors could tour its Bluff campus before its temporary closure.
The Metal Museum will be moving some of its operations to Rust Hall in Overton Park, which was the former location of the Memphis College of Art before it closed in 2020 after 81 years.
The Bluff campus of the Metal Museum is expected to reopen in January 2027, while the new Overton Park location will be opening on September 5th.
