A DEA agent was involved in a fatal shooting at an extended-stay hotel in East Memphis on Wednesday morning.
The motel at 6500 Poplar Ave., was surrounded by a perimeter established by the Memphis Safe Task Force.
The shooting, which involved a Drug Enforcement Administration agent, is being looked into, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The Jewish Community Center is just a short distance away.
