According to Poinsett County court records, Tony Allen, the former Memphis Grizzlies star involved in a drug charge in Arkansas, entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge last week.
The initial charge against Allen was changed from Possession of a Controlled Substance to Possessing an Instrument of Crime. The misdemeanor carries $500 in fines and court expenses.
Deputies arrested Allen and the driver, William Hatton, following a Nov. 5, 2025, traffic stop.
In a statement, Allen denied having any knowledge of the drugs in the vehicle.
“I want to be very clear: I was not in possession of, nor was I aware of, the illegal drugs found in the vehicle that belonged to the driver. I have never used cocaine or methamphetamine, and these substances do not reflect who I am or my values,” Allen wrote.
