On Monday morning, the 16-year-old charged of a fatal shooting at Shelby Farms appeared in court.
Whether the teenager is transferred to criminal court and tried as an adult is yet to be determined as the results have not yet been confirmed.
This all goes back to an unapproved “Senior Skip Day” at Shelby Farms Park on April 14.
Shots were fired after someone pulled out an actual handgun during a water gun fight, according to deputies.
The shooting claimed the life of 17-year-old Millington Central High School student Coriuan Bean. Three days later, the sixteen-year-old shooter was taken into custody.
The 16-year-old, whose age prevents him from being identified, has been detained in the Shelby County Youth Justice and Education Center since his arrest.
