At Baptist Memorial Hospital in East Memphis on Monday afternoon, a pedestrian was struck by a car and died.
Officers responded to a woman who had been struck at 6079 Walnut Grove just before 2:00 p.m.
After being taken to the hospital in critical condition, the woman was declared deceased, according to the authorities.
According to MPD, the driver of the involved car stayed on the site. The investigation is still ongoing.
