According to representatives of David Michael Dunavant’s U.S. Attorney’s Office, a man found guilty of three armed business robberies in 2024 was sentenced to almost 80 years in federal prison.
Maurice Harris was sentenced on Tuesday to 75 years in prison, five years of supervised release for the robberies, and an additional 46 months for breaking his supervised release due to a previous conviction.
According to the attorney’s office, Harris pretended to be a customer in each of the robberies before drawing a handgun and demanding the phones and tablets from the business.
During a particular Cricket Wireless robbery, Harris left his driver’s license behind, which led to his identification and arrest.
