This Saturday June 13th, join Memphis families, advocates, and community leaders for the second annual William’s Walk, from 9AM to 1PM at Society Memphis Skatepark.
Originally founded after Michael and Rebekah McConnell tragically lost their son, William, in a pedestrian crash, the couple sought to transform their grief into a positive force for change in the Bluff City.
“William’s Walk is about more than one family’s story,” Rebekah said. “It’s about creating a Memphis where every person — every child, every neighbor, every family — can walk safely in their community.”
Activities will include a community walk along Broad Ave, music, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for residents to unite around the urgent need for safer streets in Memphis.
Register today at the official event page for free, or donate $25 to receive a customized William’s Walk T-shirt.
