At a special meeting set for Friday, the Collierville Board of Aldermen will talk about the status of the city’s fire chief.
Town officials confirmed on Thursday that Fire Chief John Selberg has been placed on paid administrative leave.
The reasons for Selberg’s sudden leave and the topics of Friday’s meeting have not been made public.
The only item on the agenda for Friday’s meeting is “Consideration of the Employment Status of the Fire Chief.”
Since 2022, Selberg has served as Collierville Fire & Rescue’s chief and has been with the fire department for 45 years.
