UPDATE: Two suspects are now in custody in connection with the North Memphis shooting that killed a Memphis doctor.
A press conference was conducted on Monday by community leaders, including State Representative Elect Dr. Telisa Franklin and Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis, following a party over the weekend in North Memphis that resulted in a shooting killing one woman and injuring four others.
The deceased woman was recognized as Dr. Shandrika Hayslett by Dr. Franklin.
Chief Davis urged the public to contact authorities if they have any information and stated during the press conference that the police department has issued two warrants for suspects they believe are involved for the shooting.
Police said a large party was happening when a fight broke out. Before leaving the area, the suspects fired several bullets into the crowd.
Three victims were discovered: Hayslett, a male victim, and a female victim who were sent to a hospital in critical condition.
