Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves appointed a Southaven judge to the Mississippi Supreme Court on Monday.
Judge Celeste Embrey Wilson was appointed by Governor Reeves to the Supreme Court in the Northern District, Place 1.
Wilson has been a circuit court judge representing DeSoto County in Mississippi’s 21st Judicial District since 2017.
From January 2009 to February 2017, she presided over the DeSoto County county court.
Judge Wilson’s tenure will start on August 1, 2026, and run until a special election is held to fill the position.
