After the interior was damaged by an electrical fire last year, the Historic Daisy Theater, also referred to as the Old Daisy, is undergoing renovations.
Lucille Catron, who leases the property from the city, reported that the insurance company and the municipal had approved the renovation.
An electrical fire damaged much of the interior, including the stage and offices, which resulted in the theater being shut down since the Summer of 2025.
A project description submitted to the city states that the damaged interior finishes will be removed and the theater will be stripped down to its structural framing.
The structure will be restored with fresh flooring, paint, insulation, and drywall.
