TDOT is working on repaving Memphis roads, with construction set to be completed by the end of the year or early 2027.
Included in their list (pictured below) are the following ongoing or upcoming projects:
- I-40, from Sycamore View to Fletcher Creek, will see partial nighttime closures for repaving (from 8PM to 6AM) now until August 31st.
- North Parkway/Summer Avenue, from Dunlap Street in the Medical District to Tillman Street in Binghampton, is being resurfaced by TDOT and is expected to be completed by October 31st.
- Repaving of East Parkway, from Poplar to Lamar, is slated to start in December.
Overall, the final total price of these projects is estimated around $160 million.
