The former manager of Moneybagg Yo is suing his Memphis-based record label and his new management organization, Roc Nation, for breach of contract.
Sherry Jackson-Floyd, who claims to have had a significant part in launching the career of Demario DeWayne White Jr., or Moneybagg Yo, before she was pushed aside, is seeking $100 million in damages.
Floyd said that once she assumed the responsibilities of personal and business manager for Moneybagg Yo, she registered trademarks, filed the appropriate documents to officially establish Bread Gang Enterprises as a limited liability corporation in Tennessee, and handled day-to-day operations.
Her attorneys also say that after Floyd became Moneybagg Yo’s personal and business manager, she was underpaid.
The case is slated to go to trial in October
