According to the Federal Aviation Administration and the Nye County Sheriff’s Office, a hot air balloon crash in Nevada on Thursday injured ten individuals, including a family from Senatobia, MS.
The Kairit family was in Las Vegas for a Kenny Chesney concert and decided to go on a hot air balloon ride.
“I remember us starting to come down, and I think I probably got knocked out,” said Kairit. “The next thing I remembered is hollering, screaming, blood everywhere, smoke, and I can’t move.”
According to Kairit, his wife was suffered the most injuries. She is recovering well after being airlifted to the trauma hospital in Las Vegas and receiving spinal surgery.
