After a fight over a repossessed car last Friday, a repo man reportedly punched a man and struck him in the head with a metal pole. As a result, he is now in jail.
29-year-old Taylor Douget was charged with criminal attempt to commit second-degree murder.
Officers report that on June 12, they responded to a report of an aggravated assault call. A male victim reported that a Memphis Towing and Recovery tow truck driver attempted to repossess his car.
An argument and physical altercation ensued with Douget eventually using a metal pole to strike the victim in the head, knocking him out.
The victim was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition, and Douget is currently held on a $500,000 bond.
