Employees at Hollywood Feed were informed on June 1st that 20 corporate roles will be eliminated.
The pet supply company, which employs over 1,400 workers countrywide, called the layoffs a “proactive restructuring”.
The Memphis-based corporate office was the only location affected by the layoffs. Retail employees were unaffected.
Hollywood Feed President and CEO Shawn McGhee said in a statement. “More than 1,400 people count on Hollywood Feed to support themselves and their families, which leads me to make difficult decisions that are necessary to protect the future of our company and the communities we serve.”
