Former Shelby County Commissioner, Terry Roland called Memphis Morning News to say that he has a letter the county Director of Finance sent out, stating that the county is in bad trouble. Terry says based on the letter, the county can’t pay the bills. The Oracle human resouce system isn’t working and he wants an investigation into the Lee Harris administraiton to find out where money has gone since Covid ARPA funds were given.
The conversation also included the state takeover of MSCS and what Terry says, is going to be overturned. The state cannot appoint a board to oversee an elected body, according to Terry.
