Representative from the 5th Congressional District, Andy Ogles spoke to Ditch & Tim on Memphis Morning News about the redrawing of district lines. Ogles welcomes the substantially larger district and says he looks forward to spending time with people in Memphis & Shelby County. “Even though I’m a bit of a redneck and wear cowboy boots, I’ll come to your church, I’ll come to your fish fry, I don’t care what color you are, I don’t care what your religion is. My job is to represent you”
Ogles was instrumental in leading the way in Tennessee, out of the Covid lockdowns when he served as Maury County Mayor from 2018-2022. He took a bold stance as an anti- mandate mayor and it was that leadership that propelled him to the 5th Congressional District.
He faces 4 qualified* cadidates in the primary on August 6th leading up to the November 3rd Mid-Terms.
