After 19 years, Representative Steve Cohen has announced he is stepping down. Congressman Cohen has withdrawn his application for the newly mapped 9th District race. Cohen blames the General Assembly’s redrawing of his, mostly black district, into the 3 districts that will favor Republicans.
Cohen described the district determined by “new lines” as “nothing like the 9th district that I’ve represented.”
