A Gibson County man was found guilty in court on Thursday of various crimes after he forcefully gouged out one of his girlfriend’s eyes back in 2021.
Joshua Todd was found guilty on various offenses and he faces a maximum sentence of 11 years.
The district attorney’s office claimed Todd and his girlfriend were living out of their truck outside a trailer park in Trenton.
They also said on Oct. 12, Todd got increasingly hostile, telling the woman her eyes were “serpent eyes” that needed to be removed.
Authorities apprehended Todd and the victim was transported to a hospital and received a prosthetic eye implant.
