As part of its undercover investigation into street-level drug deals throughout the city, the Memphis Police Department Organized Crime Unit arrested 19 of the 45 people indicted on Wednesday.
According to the investigation, which ran from January 2023 to June 2025, undercover police officers spotted and documented drug dealers in the city committing those drug crimes.
On March 5, probable cause was presented to a Shelby County Grand Jury, and indictments were returned.
45 people were indicted as a result of the investigation, including 367 chargeable offenses, convicted criminals in possession of firearms, and 19 of the 45 suspects who were known gang members.
