The U.S. Marshals Service announced a $30,000 reward increase, stating that law enforcement is still seeking information that could lead to Danell Maxwell’s capture. The initial reward was $2,500.
The 40-year-old is wanted for aggravated assault and attempted first-degree murder.
Maxwell shot MPD Officer Oscar Torres-Molina during a traffic stop last week, and is regarded as dangerous and armed.
The public is urged to dial 911 rather than approach him.
Maxwell, who was described as 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds with dark brown eyes and a salt-and-pepper gray beard, was still at large last Friday morning.
At the time of the shooting, he was dressed in black clothing and had an orange and green reflective vest on, according to MPD.
