Today, local wrestling icon Jerry “The King” Lawler was honored with a new street sign near his old stomping grounds.
At a ceremony this afternoon, a portion of Homer Street at Given Avenue near Treadwell Elementary School was renamed Jerry “The King” Lawler Street.
Lawler himself grew up in the nearby neighborhood and fondly reminisced today, “There were so many memories on this street.”
