Mid-South veterans now have greater access to the support they deserve after fighting for our freedoms as a new Veterans’ Affairs clinic opened in Millington last weekend with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The VA healthcare system in the Bluff City currently serves more than 196,000 vets in 53 counties across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas, offering everything from mental health services to primary care.
Edward Payton, Executive Director of VA Memphis, stated about this latest facility, “I’m very excited because we’re going to expand as the clinic grows to add more specialties. So, we will have cardiology, endocrinology, [and] rheumatology. We’re working on getting the rooms set up right now so we will have diagnostic radiology as well so people can have X-rays here and not have to go to our main site.”
The new facility is located at 4963 West Union Road Millington, TN 38053.
