After University of Mississippi football player Corey Adams was shot and killed at a Cordova pool party about a year ago, a wrongful death lawsuit has been filed.
No one has been arrested yet in connection with Adams’ killing.
Adams’ father, Corey Adams Sr., filed a lawsuit blaming the Cordova homeowner, his wife, and their son of planning the party on July 19, 2025, as well as unidentified shooters, security guards, and promoters.
He asserts in those documents that the party got too crowded and that deputies had been called to the scene multiple times before the shooting.
Neighbors complained about the large number of guests—more than 100, and Adams Jr. died as a result of the party not being shut down, all according to the lawsuit.
Adams Sr. is seeking a payment of at least $1 million.
