Early voting for local and state elections is scheduled to begin across Shelby County.
Registered voters will have a period to cast their ballots ahead of the formal Election Day. Local election officials are encouraging citizens to take advantage of the early voting window, noting that participants can utilize any designated early voting site in the county, regardless of their residential precinct.
The ballot includes a lineup of local offices. Voters will decide on positions such as Shelby County Mayor, County Sheriff, County Commission seats, and various judicial clerkships and school board seats.
Concurrently, the ballot includes State and Federal Primary elections to determine party nominees.
Election officials say the polling places are prepared, the systems are in place, and the audits are finished as early voting gets underway on Friday.
