Following a former elementary school teacher’s 2022 conviction for child sex abuse, parents are suing Memphis Shelby County Schools and school officials, according to court documents.
Kenneth Clay was charged with aggravated sexual battery and child rape in relation to a Winchester Elementary student.
On August 18, Clay is scheduled to get his sentence.
In the lawsuit case, the parents claim that Winchester Elementary failed to protect their children.
