Kyle Busch, the 41-year-old two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, has passed away.
Richard Childress Racing and NASCAR announced Busch’s passing on Thursday.
The statement came after the Busch family posted on Thursday that he was admitted to the hospital due to a serious illness. Busch’s condition was not confirmed.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community,” NASCAR said in a statement.
Busch had raced at NASCAR since 2005.
