Following fights during Ripley High School’s graduation ceremony earlier this month, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday that six additional people, including two minors, are in custody.
“Nearly all individuals involved” in the brawl on May 14 have been arrested, according to Sheriff Brian Kelley.
He also stated that five other people were placed under arrest earlier this week.
Eleven total individuals have been charged in relation to the fight on graduation night, three of them being minors.
Sheriff Kelley said in a statement, “The overwhelming majority of those involved chose to turn themselves in after realizing that we were fully committed to identifying every person responsible and bringing them to justice. My hope is that each of these individuals will learn from this experience and make better decisions moving forward.”
