The Southaven Police Department (SPD) has now identified the guy who was shot and killed on Tuesday.
According to SPD, the victim is Memphis, Tennessee resident Jacquey R. Witherspoon.
Decoriun Veasley is accused with armed robbery, armed carjacking, capital murder, and possessing a stolen firearm, according to the police.
Witherspoon was declared dead at the scene after being found unconscious.
After leaving the scene and dumping a gun, the suspect—later identified as Veasley—was apprehended, according to the police. The gun has been found.
