Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti says “it was really a great win, a thoughtful decision from the court of appeals”. Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris had no standing to present a lawsuit against Bill Lee regarding the placement of the Tennessee National Guard in Memphis as part of the MSTF. “If you’re on the losing side of a political fight, you can’t always run to a court to veto what happened”.
