Around 1:30PM today, a domestic argument occurred between two groups of people at the Memphis Zoo that would culminate in a male suspect pulling out a weapon.
Memphis Zoo employees that witnessed the incident quickly notified an onsite MPD Officer, who was eventually assisted by backup to successfully detain both groups.
Fortunately, no shots were fired, and nobody was injured during this altercation.
The Memphis Zoo said in an official social media statement, “The scene has been secured, and Memphis Zoo employees and law enforcement remain focused on maintaining a safe environment for our guests and staff.”
