Thousands gathered yesterday evening for Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Corinth, Mississippi, where the President officially endorsed Republican Senator candidate Cindy Hyde-Smith, who is running against her Democratic opponent, Scott Colom.
Trump sang Smith’s praises during his speech, stating, “Cindy Hyde-Smith is a fierce advocate and a friend of mine for a long time for this state. As a senator, she has delivered funding for 360 projects across the state totaling over $2 billion.”
Hyde-Smith spoke during the rally as well, saying, “We’ve done a lot; we’ve accomplished a lot. We have more to work on.”
Scott Colom also took the time to walk outside the rally and speak to those waiting in line, sharing on social media:
“Walking the line outside the Trump rally in Corinth, I was reminded that more unites us than divides us here in Mississippi. I heard from folks who want to get foreign money out of our elections, put an end to flock cameras, keep our border secure, and make sure our veterans are taken care of.”
Colom is currently being endorsed by former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris, as the midterm Mississippi race is garnering attention nationwide.
