Earlier today, Hunter Foster, the Senatobia Police Officer who fired the shot that killed Kohen Wiley outside a Walmart in June, has officially resigned from the force, as confirmed by a city alderman.
The alderman also stated Interim Police Chief Angelica Maze will resign from her position effective Sunday to return to her previously-held position as a Lieutenant in the department.
These developments come after Mississippi’s Attorney General declared the police’s actions “justified,” since the driver of the vehicle with Wiley inside nearly hit officers while they were fleeing the Walmart after the alleged shoplifting.
The state also released the official body-cam footage from the incident Thursday, which can be found here on News Talk 98.9.
