Plans for a new hotel have been established near the University of Memphis.
Developers are seeking approval on a tax deal to fund for the construction on the corner of Central Avenue and Highland Street. The price tag for the new project is more than $46M, with more than 90 people expected to be hired.
Previously, a church that was demolished several years back is the location of where the new hotel could be.
The hotel would be 112 rooms with a rooftop bar and a restaurant.
