The Quail Ridge Golf Course in Bartlett, which closed over two years ago, is starting a new chapter.
David Parsons, the mayor of Bartlett, participated in the grand reopening’s ribbon-cutting event on Monday.
Memphis Tigers basketball coach Penny Hardaway was among the first to play the 18-hole course.
It was crowded with golfers and shoppers who were interested in experiencing the improvements, according to city authorities. A new restaurant and a new pro shop were among the new additions.
This comes after 2024, when the previous course was closed and acquired by the city.
The city recruited a new management team to repair the land and restore it as a golf course, although at the time, there were plans to transform the site into a significant senior housing complex.
