In his hotel room in the Wolfchase area, a probation officer who was in Memphis says he discovered a secret hoard of thousands of fentanyl pills.
A State of Tennessee Probation and Parole official in town for training called agents to the hotel last Thursday, according to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force.
After moving a chair and noticing that a key had fallen out, the officer reported to have “found something suspicious” in his hotel room. There was a package concealed in the furniture.
It was discovered that the package included over 6,000 vacuum-sealed, electrical tape-wrapped, and concealed pressed fentanyl pills.
The package is being examined forensically by agents. Nobody has been accused.
