After Saturday’s storm, power outage restoration will continue until Friday, according to Doug McGowen, CEO of Memphis Light Gas and Water.
Out of the 140,000 outages this past Saturday, 137,500 have been restored.
He also noted that there should be around 1,500 outages left by Thursday night. He expressed sympathy for the people of Memphis who are still without electricity.
McGowen noted that the most significant problem is what they are witnessing in certain communities, where the electric power runs between two properties and between a backyard on the rear property service lines.
