Following the severe damage caused by Saturday’s storms throughout the city, nearly 400 insurance claims have been submitted to State Farm in Shelby County.
If f a tree falls on a house, you should register a claim, take pictures of the damage, arrange temporary repairs, and take pictures of your receipts.
According to an insurance agent who works for State Farm, 350 insurance claims have been submitted in Shelby County.
Additionally, she wants Memphians to know what insurance covers. For example, it can pay damage to a property caused by a downed tree, but it cannot reimburse customers for hotel rooms due to a power outage.
