Around 2,000 pounds of marijuana were found at the FedEx hub in Memphis, according to the Memphis Safe Task Force.
The illegal substances’ destination and if they were discovered in a single shipment have not been disclosed by the U.S. Department of Justice.
The DOJ stated on Thursday that the MSTF and Shelby County collaborated with FedEx to retrieve the marijuana, but it provided no further information.
The FedEx World Hub is located within the Memphis International Airport. As the largest sorting facility in their global network, it spans 940 acres and operates 24/7, processing over 1.5 million packages nightly.
