Memphis basketball head coach Penny Hardaway announced Thursday the hiring of Gabriel Harris as the program’s first-ever general manager.
Harris arrives in Memphis following a successful career as general manager of the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. The Kings won their first G-League championship under Harris in 2025.
As the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, Stockton is currently taking part in the NBA G League conference semifinals.
After Stockton’s postseason campaign is finished, Harris will join the Memphis program.
Harris will be heavily involved in roster management, recruitment, and tight collaboration with the coaching staff in his capacity as general manager at Memphis.
