A road rage incident that resulted in a shooting on I-40 on Wednesday night appears to be captured in a video that is circulating around social media.
Memphis Police reported responding to an accident complaint on I-40 near Jackson Avenue at approximately 7:14 p.m.
Officers reported seeing a light green car with significant front-end damage when they arrived.
The victim said that he honked his horn when a GMC Envoy merged into his car while he was traveling.
He informed police that as he honked his horn, the GMC driver pulled up beside him, gave him the middle finger, then slowed down get behind him.
According to court documents, the suspect started shooting at the victim’s car.
The suspect was described as having dreadlocks and wearing a green shirt. No one has been charged at this time.
